Our Mayan Hammocks are handmade and dyed in a natural way. These hammocks use artisanal dye and not chemical dyes to color the prepared cotton threads. Mayan weavers integrate natural dyes to protect their natural surroundings by reducing the amount of synthetic chemicals involved in the dyeing process. These hammocks are not colorfast so they will bleed and fade quickly under the rain and sun. This being said, it is best to store the hammock after use or you can leave it outdoors as long as it is protected by a hammock cover against the sun and rain.
